The “Dantana” kiss is happening on “Glee.”
Naya Rivera has confirmed that her character, Santana, and Demi Lovato’s character, Dani, will share a kiss on “Glee” season 5.
In a September 11, 2013 interview with Hot 94.1 Radio, Naya was asked if she would rather kiss Demi or Miley Cyrus. Her response was “Demi Lovato…and I did it!”
Naya’s groundbreaking TV role is something she takes very seriously. As she told Latina Magazine, “There are very few ethnic LGBT characters on television, so I am honored to represent them. I love supporting this cause, but it’s a big responsibility, and sometimes it’s a lot of pressure on me.”
Demi is also looking forward to the upcoming kiss with Naya, and she hopes that their on-screen romance will inspire viewers. In a September 4 “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” interview, she commented, “What I want people to take from this isn’t, ‘Oh my god, Demi is kissing a girl. This is crazy!’ I want people to take from it that this is actually an incredible step in our generation today where I’m able to play a young lesbian on prime time TV.”
“Glee” season 5 premieres Thursday September 26 at 9/8c on FOX.
Well, as you can see, I’ve once again started to post news. This means that I am slowly bringing Naya Rivera Daily off of its open hiatus. I have A LOT of photos to catch up on. If anyone has anything that has been released since the last gallery update, please send it to email@example.com
On September 3, 2013, Glee star Naya Rivera told Latina how she and her costars are coping with the July death of Cory Monteith, and outlines how she stays grounded while skyrocketing to fame in the October 2013 issue of Latina, which hits newsstands and Nook Newsstand on September 10, 2013.
Rivera tells Latina how she began acting and modeling as a toddler, and how her mother kept her motivated and focused when she despaired in her late teens before scoring the groundbreaking role of Santana Lopez on Glee. The actress also talks about recording her debut pop album, including its first single, which also features Rivera’s boyfriend, G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean.
On how the cast of Glee is recovering from Monteith’s sudden death: “We’re definitely taking it day by day. Everybody’s really just leaning on each other and trying to do good work.”
On having a very public relationship with Big Sean, whom she first met on Twitter: “We know so many who are in the public eye dating somebody, and they ’re going in through back entrances and won’t make eye contact with each other. That’s just not us.”
On becoming comfortable with her mixed-race heritage: “It used to hold me back when I was younger. Casting directors didn’t understand what I was. I wasn’t black enough, or Latina enough—I kind of fell through the cracks.”
On being an icon to the LGBT community: “There are very few ethnic LGBT characters on television, so I am honored to represent them. I love supporting this cause, but it’s a big responsibility, and sometimes it’s a lot of pressure on me. ”
On following in Jennifer Lopez’s footsteps: “It’s insane how gorgeous she is. Jennifer Lopez is a perfect example of what it means to be a mogul and have longevity, but still have people like you. She can do this until she chooses not to anymore. I hope I can say that one day.”

I believe that a small apology is in order due to the lack of updates. I do not even have a very good excuse for it. Initially, I was planning on a new Darren Criss fansite but it appears that I have neglected that as well. However, that is not my main reason for apologizing. I would mostly like to apologize for the lack of notifying my readers about our extended hiatus.
Portrait Magazine is having its first ever Most Likely To Succeed (Female Edition) poll as part of its TV Yearbook. Visitors to the site were able to nominate the female stars from the current crop of television shows they think will go on to more storied careers than their counterparts. Voters can now choose from 34 nominees, and the top 10 will be featured in an upcoming issue, with the winner gracing the cover.
Naya Rivera is one of the nominees and is currently in second place, with Laura Marano of Disney’s Austin & Ally taking the lead with 44% of the total vote count.
Think we can beat her?

Fans of the television show “Glee” may spot some University of Louisville gear this season.
The character Santana, played by actress Naya Rivera, announced at the end of the third season that she had received a full cheerleading scholarship to U of L. The Courier-Journal says now the university has sent a cheerleader uniform, T-shirts, posters and other memorabilia to the show, which recently started its fourth season Thursdays on Fox.
A “Glee” costume designer who wanted to make a Cardinals cheerleading uniform for Santana to wear contacted U of L Digital Media Director Jeff Rushton about two months ago. Rushton offered to have cheerleading coach Todd Sharp send an actual uniform.
On Twitter recently, Rivera linked to a photo of her wearing the red and black uniform.
